QBSA is a mechanical engineering software designed for the calculation of the shaft/bearing assembly application. Through its graphical and intuitive interface, QBSA is really "User-friendly". The calculation results obtained from QBSA are based on in-depth analysis of each rolling element of each bearing defined for the model. Due to this kind of analysis, the accuracy of the results is far above the accuracy one can obtain using a "Catalog" approach. For instance, the centrifugal effects are taken into account etc... Finally, it is also important to notice that the results delivered by QBSA are also taking into account the deformations of the surrounding components (spacers, springs etc..) which are linked to the bearings. With the current version, only the ball bearing ( angular contact and radial ball bearing) can be calculated. Future versions will include roller bearings. QBSA is running in French, English and in German.
Software description
QBSA current version: v1.1.0n What's new : 2011/04/22 - Added videos to give a demo on how to use QBSA, a full example (high speed spindle) is available and describe step by step how to proceed. 2010/08/22 - Improved installation script with regard to the langage support. 2010/08/05 - A new feature has been implemented : The ball excursion is now calculated for the single bearing calculation (in the catalog section), and is also appearing in the report of the bearing application module (within the kinematics section). 2010/07/27 - Improved the material data handling of the shaft. In some particular situations the material properties might be set to default values while the material reference was known. 2010/07/23 - Added two new documents to download : 1-An overview of the bearing application analysis of QBSA 2-A detailled report output of a bearing application analysis. 2010/05/04 - Improvement of the mounting parameter calculation in the "Bearing application" module. 2010/04/02 - A new software for the analysis of ball bearings with 4 points of contact will be launched in the coming weeks. 2010/03/29 - The single row module has now a new graph showing the deflection of a bearing submitted to pure thrust. The graph is generated automatically when selecting a bearing in the list. 2010/03/17 - QBSA is now supporting German language.
